The Regional Middle School Student Juried Art Show this year in April was a huge success with 49 entries from 35 students from 9 East Tennessee middle schools, from Bradley, Cambell, Dayton, Meigs, Monroe, McMinn, Sevier, Polk, and Rhea Counties. Held in the Nancy Cantrell Dender Gallery at the Etowah Arts Commission. Certificates, ribbons, and Hobby Lobby Gift Cards were presented to the winners in both two and three-dimensional artworks, four Honorable Mentions, and a Peoples Choice Award presented at the end of the art show.
Certificates of Appreciation were also presented to all the middle school art teachers who were represented at the show.
We are very grateful to Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts who presented a Tuition Gift Card to the Best of Show winner, the East Tennessee Foundation, and the many individuals who gave a donation to help support the middle school art show and the students.
We offer Pop-Up Art Camps for all children, teens, adults, and seniors with all skill levels.
Please consider making a contribution to help us continue to run these drawing and painting programs for all East Tennessee communities.
